Camas-Washougal Post Record: Washougal Town Square project nears completion
Let's meet downtown.
Washougal's historic gathering place comes alive
in Washougal Town Square.
Washougal Town Square is a collection of four architecturally distinct multi-use buildings situated around a landscaped public plaza. The Square is designed to serve as a place to meet over a cup of coffee, surf the internet, shop local merchants or enjoy a meal. It also is a perfect starting point for ventures to countless destinations in and surrounding the Portland-Vancouver metro area.
A signature project of Washougal-based Lone Wolf Development, the Square is Washougal's premiere commercial location in the historic heart of downtown Washougal. More than 100 years ago at this location, merchants received deliveries from steamboats and Washougalites gathered to water their horses and quench their own thirst for the daily news.
The fall 2007 completion of Washougal Town Square marks a rebirth of Washougal's public gathering place. Constructed to LEED green building standards, the Square offers 22,000 square feet of urban retail space, 25,000 square feet of creative Class A office space and underground parking.
